Re: General Amateur Radio discussion...
Oh well, Im sure another one will come along sooner or later. About your pound sign key...What symbol does it display when you press it?
Perhaps your computer has reverted to another keyboard layout, like American English for some reason?

Re: General Amateur Radio discussion...
Oh no! ...I hope you did'nt pay a lot for it because its probably going to be useless to you!...Its a mobile tuner so it does'nt take open line feeder! ....You should have gone for that big one with all the terminals on the back.
Re: General Amateur Radio discussion...
Hi Alf
very Windy here
it is a mobile tuner, they are also ideal for the home base.
the 945e we have at the club has terminals on the back.

Re: General Amateur Radio discussion...
I really hope it has for your sake because when I looked it up there was no mention of it taking open line feeder at all.
Here is a quote from a website about tuners:
"MFJ-945E Mobile ATU for HF + 6m
A compact ATU designed for mobile use but can also be used with a base station. This model extends to include the 6m band.
The cross needle meter indicates forward & reflected power and swr simultaneously.
Only for use with coax fed antennas.
The meter can be illuminated by an external 12V supply."
Note: It clearly says its for coax fed antennas only!
If the 945E at your club has terminals on the back then it must have been modified...If it turns out yours has'nt got terminals perhaps you could just swap the clubs one with yours
